Whether working from mix stems, or working in the original session and breaking out parts out for Immersive mixing, we needed a tool that could recapture that stereo mix buss glue, the compression and limiting that hits the mix buss when everything is playing together.
On top of that, we also need to recapture what mastering is doing to the stereo mix; more levels of EQ, compression, limiting, and loudness that define the "modern" mix.
I asked Make Believe to create MELD for me to do that work.. It brings back that stereo mix buss and mastering glue to the Immersive mix.
So much of your mix sound is defined by your stereo mix buss and how it melds the sounds of the mix together; you don't want to lose that when you break it down and build it back again as an Immersive mix.
MELD will help you keep the MIX sounding like THE mix.
